Mildred Anne Filmer
April 12, 1945 - April 26, 2014
Savannah- Mildred Anne Filmer, 69, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Memorial University Medical Center.
She was born in Greensboro, GA on April, 12, 1945 and lived most of her life in Savannah. She received a degree in Accounting from North Georgia College. Anne retired after more than twenty years of service with Georgia Regional Hospital where she was an accountant. She was a long time member of White Bluff United Methodist Church. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be truly be missed by family and friends. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Garth and brother, Robert W. Garth, Jr., who died while serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are her husband of thirty six years, Charles Filmer; daughter, Melanie Holland; step-sons, David Filmer and Eric Filmer; brother, M. Branham Garth; sisters, Frances Melanie Wagnon and Mary Garth Sears; two granddaughters, Levana and Aurora Holland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Wacahoota Methodist Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida.
Remembrances may be made to White Bluff United Methodist Church, 11911 White Bluff Rd., Savannah, GA 31419.
